The Randolph-Macon College ACS Student Chapter has been recognized nationally since its reactivation in the fall of 2020. Since then, we have received two awards being the latest one the Outstanding Chapter (2021-2022), which was for the first time in its history. We also had a 46% increase membership since the previous year. When reactivating the chapter, we came up with core objectives: build a strong tie between the chemistry department and the students, provide professional development opportunities for the majors/minors, expand their network amongst chemistry majors, minors, and alumni, assist the local community, and have fun with chemistry! Our poster will feature segments on: reactivation tips, social events, event turn out, community outreach, professional development, student-professors connection, social media engagement, and propaganda. By sharing strategies and ideas, this chapter hopes to set an example for other chapters who might be just starting or would like to improve and grow.
