As Editor-In-Chief of ACS Chemical Health and Safety and staff scientist at Sandia Laboratories, I have a non-traditional chemistry career.  Many adventures led me to my current and concurrent positions, including a stint at the Chemical Safety Board investigating chemical incidents. In this presentation I will talk about my career journey and both the safety research being published in ACS Chemical Health and Safety and what audiences read, giving insight to what others might want to consider as potential chemical safety career paths.
