The Next Generation Science Standards identified eight science and engineering practices (SEP) that are at the heart of the work of scientists including  asking questions, designing and carrying out experiments, analyzing and interpreting data and engaging in arguments from data.  Opportunities to further develop these practices are often limited in undergraduate settings because of the use of low-inquiry, cookbook labs.  The MICRO project was developed to use low-cost and safe paper microfluidics that can produce results rapidly in order to better facilitate development of the SEPs.  We have developed eight experiments that give students experience with the content typically covered in quantitative chemistry experiments, such as sophomore level analytical lab.  The focus of this talk will be an overview of the project and the resources available.
