There are many benefits of using entangled photons for biological imaging. For example the lower intensity needed for experiment with entangled photons is safer for biological systems and has less of a potential to interfere with biological mechanisms. For the results that will be presented, we utilized an entangled two-photon microscope to image selectively stained brain tissue slices. In our experiments the brain tissue slices were stained with typical (classical) two-photon chromophores. The samples were imaged with both classical and entangled two-photon microscope techniques for a comparison study. The results of these experiments will be discussed in this poster.
