Semiconductor nanocrystals exist in two broad forms: the covalent II-VI nanocrystals (NC) like CdSe, and the ionic perovskite NC like CsPbBr3. In the case of the former they are usually quantum dots (QD) and in the case of the latter they are usually not QD. But more recent syntheses have created QD of perovskite NC. In each case, the exciton is of interest. In the former there are quantum confined excitons and in the latter there can be exciton-polarons. The former features more quantum effects and the latter features more classical line broadening effects such as solvation dynamics. Here, we extend our 1D Transient Absorption (TA) work to two dimensions with our novel approach to 2DE that uses non-classical optics. We focus on what 2DE reveals that is not obtained in 1D TA.
