Constructing Z-scheme heterostructure is of great significance to achieve efficient photocatalytic CO2 conversion. However, the fabrication of stable and well-suited Z-scheme photocatalytic system remains a challenge. In this work, we constructed a Z-scheme system with a suitable band structure by in-situ hydrothermal growth of In2S3 nanosheets on electrospun Fe3C/Carbon fibers with three-dimensional structure. The In2S3-C/Fe3C composites efficiently achieved the photocatalytic CO2 conversion to acetate (11.93 μmol/h/g) without any sacrificial reagents. The Z-scheme electron transport path is verified by the calculation of the energy band structure calculation and the method of photodeposition. Through DFT calculation and Mott-Schottky test, it is found that the introduction of Fe3C can elevate the Fermi level of In2S3, lower the thermodynamic energy barrier required to generate C2 products, and modulate the electronic structure of In2S3, thereby enhancing the selectivity of acetic acid.
