Short cationic peptides have been shown to effectively kill bacteria. Additionally, multi-armed peptides have been shown to be more potent than monomeric peptides with the same nominal sequence. We report the design and activity of a series of short cationic hairpin peptides. Characterization has been greatly hindered by solubility issues in the bacterial growth media, but initial results indicate increased potency against <i>E. coli</i> when compared to the monomeric forms.
