Alternating CO<sub>2</sub>/epoxide copolymerization using controlled chain-transfer polymerization enables access to reactive macromonomers and polymer brushes using ring-opening metathesis polymerization. The side-chain length and degree of backbone polymerization can be independently tuned in order to characterize the entanglement properties using small amplitude oscillatory shear rheometry and to identify the transition from densely grafted to bottlebrush regimes. In addition to their entanglement properties, the thermal stability and degradation will be described which provide insights into trans-carbonylation and backbiting mechanisms in these sustainable polycarbonate materials.
