We recently reported the synthesis of dialkylalumanylpotassium as an Al-anion equivalent using a bulky cyclic dialkyl ligand. This compound has a polarized Al–K bond with Al<sup>–</sup> and K<sup>+</sup> characters, therefore, it can be transmetallated to other metals. Also, it did react as Al(I) species having a low oxidation state to undergo oxidative cyclization with unsaturated hydrocarbon molecules. We also synthesized diamino-substituted Al anion, which can be prepared on a large scale, and its transmetallation to other metals. This talk will also discuss the characteristic reactivities of these compounds and their reaction mechanisms.
