**Background**
The age of AI is pushing design & development of novel materials and structures to a whole new level.

**Methods**
Cardiac stents or in general, any implants and scaffolds, are traditionally designed using conventional methods & model-based optimization techniques and manufactured using traditional forming & subtractive manufacturing methods. The amalgamation of AI into design tools led to the development of Generative AI designs and potentially a matured Interactive AI design in the future.

**Results**
While Generative AI can potentially deliver a stent design automatically based on design variables and boundary conditions, the development in additive 3D printing allows it to manufacture the stent design, ensuring a faster testing and approval process.

**Conclusion**
Coupled with a mature Interactive AI and simulation tools, the cardiac surgeons could therefore prepare a customized stent design and get it manufactured in the purlieu of the Cardiac Cath Lab for a near-instant surgical procedure on demand in the future.
