Real-world data describing the effectiveness of treatments for transthyretin (ATTR) amyloidosis are limited. ANTHOLOGY, a global, multi-study, real-world evidence program is designed to fill these evidence gaps. Here we describe MaesTTRo, a cohort study within ANTHOLOGY aimed at generating evidence to support understanding of the disease, its treatment, and how it impacts patients' lives in a real-world setting.
MaesTTRo is a prospective, non-interventional, longitudinal, multi-country study that will enroll a minimum of 1600 patients with ATTR amyloidosis. Data relating to clinical characteristics and quality of life will be collected at enrollment, and approximately every 6 months thereafter for at least 3 years of follow-up, from medical records and patient-reported outcome questionnaires (Figure). The primary objective is to describe patient characteristics, diagnosis, management and treatment patterns, and outcomes (overall and by phenotype) in patients with ATTR amyloidosis, as well as healthcare resource utilization, and the effectiveness of different treatment options, including eplontersen. Secondary objectives are to compare the demographics of patients prescribed eplontersen with those who are not, and to compare the effectiveness of eplontersen with other treatments for ATTR amyloidosis.
The MaesTTRo cohort study will generate a robust platform of real-world evidence based on both physician- and patient-reported information on patients with ATTR amyloidosis and will assess the effectiveness of eplontersen in this population. Characterization of these patients, the natural course of the disease, and treatment decisions and outcomes routinely seen in the clinical care setting, will be crucial for improving the lives of individuals with ATTR amyloidosis.

Prospective, Real-World Data on the Characteristics, Treatment Patterns, and Outcomes of Patients With Transthyretin Amyloidosis: Design of the MaesTTRo Study PC56 (#204)

We invite you to attend the XIX International Symposium on Amyloidosis to be held in Rochester, MN.

This symposium is organized as a hybrid meeting (with the focus on in-person) held from Sunday, May 26 through Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Together with the ISA Board and members of Mayo Clinic, a very attractive scientific hybrid program is being planned. The program will cover a variety of types of systemic amyloidosis: ATTR (hereditary and wild-type), AL (light-chain), AA and less frequent forms. There will be key lectures, specific symposia including those company sponsored, oral presentations and poster sessions of accepted abstracts.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program will provide a comprehensive review of state-of-the-art education in systemic amyloidosis: basic science, pathophysiology, diagnosis, current and emerging treatments. Scientific presentations will include competitive oral and poster abstracts. The rapid evolution of scientific discovery and expanding treatment options has created tremendous interest in the field and this meeting will fill and important gap in educating scientists and clinicians.
