For COVID-19 vaccines it is an intensively discussed topic if there were certain vaccines and specific batches with an impaired quality and therefore with a higher reactogenicity. This analysis was performed to investigate batch-dependant reactogenicity of COVID-19 vaccines using real-world data obtained in the active sureveillance study SafeVac 2.0. 
SafeVac 2.0 was a prospective, active surveillance study investigating the safety of COVID-19 vaccines using a mobile app that was conducted by Paul-Ehrlich-Institute (PEI). For registration, that could be performed within 48 hours after receving the first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, the vaccine name and batch number were required, wherefore for a high number of registered vaccinations (81%) a valid batch number is available. 
740,676 vaccinated people participated in the study with 1,429,148 registered vaccination doses and 5,148,355 reported reaction datasets, thereby representing a real-world dataset in pharmacovigilance. This high number allows an intensive analysis of batch-dependent reactogenicity, which up to now has not been possible based on available data.
