Digitalisation, sustainability, complexity, systems, humane interaction – these are some of the challenges popping up when we discuss the future of engineering education. We know that these societal and sustainability challenges require new ways to educate engineers with competences to address complex social problems. We also know that PBL in various implementations has been one of the answers to develop engineering education and, in many countries, it has become a new normal in a part of the curriculum.
