Morressier, the leading virtual conference provider and platform for innovation and knowledge sharing, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Goodrich as Director of Product. With decades of product management experience within the scholarly publishing industry, Goodrich will lead product management in close partnership with the engineering team to deliver the best possible platform experience for Morressier’s clients and end users alike.
Goodrich joins Morressier from Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), where she spent 14 years in management positions, most recently as the Director of Product Management, Publisher Solutions. In this role, she successfully developed the leading open access platform within scholarly publishing and increased client retention rates for her product line to 95%. Prior to CCC, Goodrich held positions at Baker & Taylor, YBP Library Services, and Barnes & Noble Digital Content.
“Having spent my career in publishing and the past 8 years focused on open access and open science, I am delighted to join the Morressier team and work with publishers and societies to deliver upstream solutions that bring together researchers to discover, share, and publish early-stage research,” said Goodrich. “In these times, there is nothing more important than facilitating research collaborations and increasing their impact.”
Goodrich will report directly to Morressier CTO and Co-Founder, Rino Montiel.
"I am thrilled to welcome Jennifer to Morressier,” said Montiel. “Her extensive background in scholarly communications and drive to innovate and impact this industry make her the perfect fit to lead a very talented product team. With Jennifer at the helm, we will continue to connect hybrid conferences and publishing to best support scientific breakthroughs and create new revenue opportunities for societies, associations, and publishers.”
As a next step, Morressier will further enhance its integrated virtual conference and publishing platform. Clients and researchers benefit from the sharing and discovery of critical early-stage findings, conference content management workflows including call for abstracts and papers, and research collaboration tools pre-and post-event.
Morressier is continuing to bring new talent on board to meet the tremendous demand for its solutions after increasing its team four-fold in 2021. More information on open positions can be found at https://careers.morressier.com/
